The GCR Spring Diesel Gala took place on 14th and 15th April 2018. The only Guest locomotive was Class 33 diesel electric 33 035. However the event also provided an opportunity to see recently refurbished and repainted Type 4 diesel electrics; Co-Co Brush 1705 SPARROW HAWK in blue livery and D123 LEICESTERSHIRE AND DERBYSHIRE YEOMANRY in original green livery. The weekend was well organised but the trains seemed to be lightly loaded on the Sunday.
