The weather forecast suggested it would be better to stay at home! And for the first few hours I regretted my decision to travel. The sight of the sun over the sea on reaching St. Bees made the trip worthwhile and, although it passed behind cloud at Seascale, I returned home after a very enjoyable 470 miles.
