The weather forecast for Sunday 5th February 2023 was quite different to that for the previous day. Both days were fine but Sunday was expected to be sunny with possible haze from high cloud whereas Saturday had been cloudy with some brightness at times. Both can be difficult when the sun is low in the sky as it is in February. From the train perspective three of the five departures from Loughborough were scheduled for steam haulage the other two were booked as the green two car DMU but that was replaced with the blue power twin as on the previous day. Once more it was a relaxed day with plenty of time between trains and few people about.
