My visit to the GCR on Saturday 24th June 2017 was extremely brief as it took place during my return home from photographing "Flying Scotsman" hauling "The Scarborough Flyer". I called at Woodthorpe to see the 15:15 down diesel hauled train from Leicester North and the 16:15 up steam hauled train from Loughborough. Extensive burning of the embankment suggests no attention has been given to spark arresting 78018's ashpan.
