Sunday 7th October was the final day of the 2018 GCR Autumn Steam Gala. The weather forecast indicated that this should be the best day of the four day event. It was fine throughout but rather less sunny than the best periods on Thursday and Friday. A signalling problem at Loughborough caused significant loss of time which detracted somewhat from an otherwise most enjoyable and very successful event.
