May Day Bank Holiday, Monday 1st May 2017 had a busy timetable involving three locomotives, two steam and one diesel. Almost all trains ran to time but questionable driving techniques produced some strange sounds and unexpected smoke effects. The weather was unpredictable but mostly dry with only short showers.
