This special event on The Welsh Highland Railway provided an opportunity to record some of the smaller engines working vintage stock on the southern part of the line. Maybe many would prefer to see NG/G16 Garratts pounding either side of Rhyd Ddu but for me PRINCE, PALMERSTON and RUSSELL would be the highlights of this visit. I was however very disappointed to find that the Baldwin 4-6-0T that was advertised could not attend and this was known well before the day.
