Sunday 13th September 2020 was expected to be the final day on which the GCR would have to operate with DMUs only between Nunckley Hill, Rothley and Leicester North. All being well by Saturday 19th work on bridge No.341 will be complete and a more typical timetable will be possible, although there will be some changes still arising from the corona virus pandemic. The GCR should be congratulated for providing an interesting and entertaining service in very difficult circumstances.
