The weather forecast throughout the week leading up to the first weekend in July suggested that photography in the north Pennines was most undesirable. Just before midnight on Friday 2nd July a window opened that indicated Armathwaite would be probably dry. I decided to risk it and whilst Armathwaite was indeed dry, the rest of the day was a disaster. And not only because of the weather!
