I decided rather late to go across to the GC to capture a few more photographs of visiting Manor Class locomotive 7828 ODNEY MANOR in different locations to those I had covered during the 2024 Autumn Steam Gala. I ended up taking many more photographs than I had intended and have pruned that total considerably to avoid pure repetition. In some ways it was better than the Gala days as it was very much less busy. In fact, I did not see another photographer all day. What has happened to the social aspect of our hobby since the abolition of line-side permits? That is a shame and not to the credit of the railway’s management.
