The Shakespeare Express on Sunday 22nd October 2023 was billed as the final one in 2023. I have managed to see and photograph most of these trains in 2023 and did not wish to miss the final one. It has been quite difficult to choose different locations for each trip but for this trip I chose to return to Acocks Green for the first time in many years and decided to try the old Bishopton Road bridge just before Stratford Parkway Station. Both locations were very ‘head on’ but the locomotive was working well with good clean exhaust.
