On Sunday 13th March 2022 Steam Dreams promoted a double railtour with Flying Scotsman. The initial stage involved a run down the Great Western Main Line from Paddington to Oxford where passengers could visit the historic city. The empty train continued to Oxford Parkway where it was serviced in Platform 1. In due course it returned to Oxford diesel hauled before the second leg of the tour with steam haulage. Originally this was intended to visit Stratford-upon-Avon but time constraints required it to reverse at Dorridge, run diesel hauled to Claverdon and reverse again, so turning the entire train, by using the Hatton triangle for the return run to Oxford. The final leg took the train back to London Paddington after dark. All seemed to be well with the train with only minor deviations from schedule.
