As I looked forward towards the weekend of the 14-15th August 2021 the mainline options did not excite me. BAHAMAS to the WSR or BRITISH INDIA LINE on the Waverley left me wishing they were working the other trains. Then I saw in print that 61306 MAYFLOWER and 76084 were combining to run the Eastern Union Railway 175 Anniversary Tours. While Class 76XXX was not usually associated with East Anglia there was a small batch of five at Stratford for many years. With suitable locos and no overhead wires between Haughley Junction and Bury St. Edmunds my choice for the Saturday was clear and I could go to the GCR Railways at Work on Sunday 15th August.
