Saturday 25th February 2017 saw the first steam tour of the year to run to Buxton. It featured Standard Class 4 2-6-0 76084 piloting Jubilee 4-6-0 45690 LEANDER. The weather was awful with heavy rain until the train left Buxton for the return run and very dull conditions continuing through the afternoon. Much of the activity involved complex shunts at Buxton to extract two locomotives and the support coach to go to turn on the triangle at Chinley. I guess the old LNWR route is just too busy to path steam on Saturdays.
