This was an unplanned visit as I had intended to spend Saturday 1st June 2019 watching CLUN CASTLE on the mainline. I was unhappy with timing details and knew that the train had not left Dorridge when I had to leave home. It was therefore of no surprise when I reached Droitwich to find that the train had been cancelled. Should I continue south to see FLYING SCOTSMAN? I rejected that because the risk of delays due to lineside trespass was too great. So SVR or GWSR? I chose the later because lineside locations are easier to access and the Spar Shop at Toddington does very good cobs for lunch.
