Sunday 27th June 2021 was one of those all too typical British summer days; dry, fine throughout but dull and uninspiring. However, for steam photography, all was not bad as there were no major issues with deep shadows and some exhaust steam was visible at times. The reason was not known but 45305 failed on Saturday evening and was replaced by BR Standard 73156. Also, probably in the interest of economy, the class 5 replaced the booked 9F on the last train of the day.
