On Saturday 12th June 2021 The Railway Touring Company had promoted a Cotswold Express excursion from Paddington to Worcester and return. The train was routed via Oxford and Evesham on the outward Journey with the return via Cheltenham and the Golden Valley to Swindon and the GWR main line. The motive power was 60103 FLYING SCOTSMAN throughout. The now customary withholding of times with that motive power made planning impossible and reduced significantly the number of photographs. It was nevertheless good to see the old man out again.
