I remained on bridge GCR No.338 to see the return of the diner and the final departure of ECS for the 15:40 "Santa Express". Although I had seen it moving in the south yard at Loughborough earlier in the day, I was taken completely by surprise when English Electric Type 4 Co-Co diesel electric 50 017 ROYAL OAK returned light engine to Loughborough on Sunday 12th December 2021.
