I did not attempt to photograph the ECS between Loughborough and Quorn as the timings for this first move are very unpredictable. Instead I went straight to Fielding Road, Birstall, to see "The Santa Express" approach Leicester North hauled by BR Standard Class 5MT 4-6-0 73156 on 12th December 2021. The diesel locomotive attached to the rear was D123.
