The second objective on my trip to the south on Saturday 11th December 2021 was to photograph the Railway Touring Company's "Birmingham and Shrewsbury Express" on its northbound run. By choosing Banbury for my first location, it required only a short walk from the location I had used to photograph Clun Castle heading south to record 44871 on its northbound run a few minutes later. Two birds with one stone you might say; well at least two 'ten wheelers' a stone's throw apart!
