After a very late lunch break I returned to the line at Main Street, Woodthorpe, to photograph what remained of the afternoon service on Sunday 29th May 2022. Obviously the 14:00 diesel hauled train would be long gone but I had no idea what the next departure from Loughborough would bring. Steam in the vicinity of Loughborough Station encouraged me to switch on a camera and I was surprised to record Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 48305 approaching Woodthorpe with the much delayed 14:45 from Loughborough to Leicester North.
