Saturday 5th August 2017 offered a chance to see 46233 DUCHESS OF SUTHERLAND on "The Cumbrian Mountain Express", northbound over the S & C and south over Shap. Things went well, six locations and fortunate weather conditions - that means no rain when the train passed. Time keeping was very good until after Carnforth on the final leg when delays became severe.
