I visited the Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam-up 2021 event on Friday 16th April with my friend and fellow photographer Denis King. The main attraction at the event was to see 2999 LADY OF LEGEND at work with a real train. The freedom to escape the long delays due to Covid-19 restrictions was more than an added bonus; it was, to be honest, a great relief to be out in the fresh air on a very nice spring day. I think we both needed some camera practice after such a long delay. I hope that things will continue to improve but there are great dangers to be negotiated, particularly with foreign holidays and relaxed opening of licensed premises.
