With the aid of a glass it was just possible to make out milepost 119 on the far side of the formation which identified the location as Elmhurst, north west of Lichfield. Stanier Jubilee Class 6P 4-6-0 45699 GALATEA was hauling “The Cheshireman” excursion up to London Euston on Saturday 4th March 2023.
