"The Christmas White Rose" on Saturday 9th December 2017 ran from Tyseley to York and return with 5043 EARL OF MOUNT EDGCUMBE up front. On the outward run, several instances of gaining time followed by extended stops to return to schedule were irritating to say the very least. However the locomotive seemed in great form and gave good photographic opportunities.
