The GCR Winter Steam Gala usually brings a hectic timetable featuring home fleet and guest locomotives. Weather in late January is unpredictable but there are often some bright interludes in Leicestershire. This year, 2020, was typical but Friday 24th became increasingly dismal as the afternoon progressed. Time keeping became progressively worse as the day passed but in many ways we were lucky to have a Gala at all.

Not much luck with the drifting exhaust , at the start of the day, which you could not plan to avoid but nevertheless, a good set of images for the first day of the gala.
