Saturday 11th September 2021 proved to be a difficult day for Armitage family mainline steam photography. We managed to see the train only once in each direction and I managed to fail to set the camera correctly for the outward journey. That old favourite of Colton Junction is now ruined with multiple electrification masts so it didn't matter very much. That issue combined with WCRC's failure to complete the transformation of GALATEA into SIERRA LEONE rather put a damper on things.
