On Sunday 8th November 2015 the GCR had three steam engines available to work the final train of the day, the 15:45 return trip between Loughborough and Leicester North. Which would it be? Linesider's choice was 6990 which had made two trips with only a two coach formation, the pessimist group thought management would choose the Ivatt 2 as being by far the cheapest option and, to everyone's surprise, the booked locomotive 9F 2-10-0 92214 duly appeared with the full set of coaching stock (the most expensive option by far).
