On Thursday 2nd May 2024 recently overhauled BR Class A2 4-6-2 60532 BLUE PETER was diagrammed for its first Loaded Test Run on the Crewe-Chester-Shrewsbury-Wolverhampton-Stafford-Crewe circuit. All went to plan and the train ran essentially to time so I was able to secure photographs in four locations. The locomotive was in ex-works condition and carried BR Blue Livery for the first time in its life. Unfortunately, the black and white lining had not been applied but, nevertheless, the locomotive looked superb and I hope to see it in the future making some serious effort in the northern fells.
