When planning the weekend of 26-28th January 2018, the weather forecasts played a major part. With the first mainline steam of the year operating on 27th, the GCR Gala could not compete and the Loughborough weather looked poor. So Friday was expected to be the best day weather wise and Sunday looked dodgy to say the least. The sun did shine on Friday eventually and the trains looked and performed well. Sunday was quite spectacular! Please have a look at those images as well.
