"The Chilterns and Downs" railtour was a near circular trip starting from London Paddington and ending at London Victoria. The train was routed via High Wycombe, Oxford, Reading, Guildford, Reigate and East Croydon and motive power throughout was Merchant Navy Pacific 35028 CLAN LINE. The train ran to almost perfect time but unfortunately the weather was poor all day and too dark for photography by mid-afternoon.
