The weather forecast for Sunday 18th Novmber 2018, which was the second day of the GCR Last Hurrah of the Season Gala, was essentially for full sun all day. The journey over Charnwood was in dense cloud and conditions near Loughborough were little better. Eventually the sun began to appear but the light was soft due to high cloud. As noon approached I moved to Kinchley Lane where the conditions were much improved.
The whole day was spoiled by the news that the GCR Board had taken a decision to discontinue lineside permit renewal. There will be serious consequences to this decision and many projects are now in severe jeopardy. It has happened before and maybe this decision could be the end of this Board of Directors.

Very nice set of picture, both colour and mono. Lots of atmosphere. Like the two head on shots at Woodthorpe, different for you and adds some variety. Did well to avoid the building work, although, with the way the wind was blowing, it cramped your framing somewhat. Have suggested a way out of this, on one of the shots. Agree with your comments, in your introduction to the set. The GCR Board have made a dreadful decision, re lineside passes, which will unfriend many and cost a lot of money.
