New Years Day on the GCR began rather dull with a little light drizzle but improved to give a couple of hours with good sun around the middle of the day. Black Five 45305 ALDERMAN A.E.DRAPER continued in traffic and 92214 LEICESTER CITY replaced 70013 OLIVER CROMWELL which is now withdrawn pending major overhaul.
