Sunday 19th August 2018 was a dull day with intermittent light rain. The internet showed a return to the normal summer timetable after the heroics of running the 50 years since the ned of BR steam events over the previous two weekends. The locomotives seemed to be fine but time keeping was appalling. The first train was twenty minutes late and things just got worse. Even the 13:00 diner had to run ahead of the 12:50 ordinary train!
