These days it is rare that two major steam locomotives share the working of a mainline tour. And when that pair is a Duchess and an A4 then, whatever the weather forecast, the opportunity must not be missed. Conditions were unlikely to be good with severe conditions predicted for most of the country from storm Dennis. In the end it turned out not too bad at Colton. Judge for yourselves how the day evolved.
