The main reason for visiting bridge GCR No.338 was to obtain a clear shot of Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 48305 when it returned, chimney first, with the dining car express on Sunday 23rd January 2023. I was delighted to see that the locomotive was not embellished with "The Elizabethan" headboard.
