60009 UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA worked "The Yorkshireman" from London Victoria to York on Saturday 23rd September 2017. The weather was dull with light drizzle and the locomotive lacked the usual "Haymarket sparkle". Perhaps it had undergone a temporary transfer to Gateshead! However we must take every opportunity to see this magnificent locomotive - who knows, every run could be it's last.
