I arrived at Woodthorpe just in time to see the 09:30 departure from Loughborough. After a few minutes I could see that nothing was about to leave Loughborough immediately so I put on my orange jacket and moved to the lineside. After about another ten minutes, steam could be seen at Beeches Road and I thought departure would follow shortly. But no! It was almost 09:50 before 73156 left Loughborough in dull light and heavy drizzle.
