On Friday 16th February 2018 35028 CLAN LINE was called upon to replace 60163 TORNADO on a Surrey Hills Pullman working. The weather forecast was good and CLAN LINE is a bit of a favourite so, forgetting that it was the start of the Spring Half-Term Holiday, I decided to venture out. The train ran a little late behind a regular service but the pathing allowance at Addlestone Junction gave the flexibility to recover all lost time. The traffic was awful but I enjoyed what felt like the first day of spring in the sunny south. Well a publicity slogan of The Southern Railway was "Summer comes soonest in the South". As always CLAN LINE didn't disappoint.
