Saturday 8th September 2018 saw the first run of "The William Shakespeare" charter train for Saphos Trains. It was steam hauled between Crewe and Stratford-upon-Avon and return by 46100 ROYAL SCOT. Unfortunately a diesel locomotive failure on the Preston to Crewe leg caused very late running on the outward journey.
