I couldn't miss the opportunity to photograph "The Waverley" on Sunday 23rd August 2020 as the allocated motive power was 45562 ALBERTA throughout from York to Carlisle and return. It provided a rare chance to relive scenes and atmosphere from 1967. Although the weather forecast was not encouraging and this proved correct, I have no regrets whatsoever about my day out. I have added to the usual record a group of monochrome images of the real ALBERTA taken on 30th September 1967 and will add, in the future, a shot of BAHAMAS that I took at Sheriffs Brow using my first Mamiya 645J medium format SLR camera in September 1989.
