I only spent a short time at the GCR Spring Diesel Gala on Saturday 26th April 2025. Apart from D8001, it was regular GC locomotives with a very heavy timetable that was almost certain to go wrong. It was good to see D6535 back in service again but it was a shame that it carried no number or logo. Perhaps once again the NRM cannot agree on such details. When the problem occurred, the railway coped very well, and with many trains being top and tail formation, it was only small delays to trains but not always with the expected time-tabled pairing. I must have enjoyed myself as I remained in the same location so as not to miss any action and collected 32 x 2 more images for the website.
