The second day of the 2021 GCR Autumn Steam Gala, Friday 1st October, was a logical progression from the previous day with a total of five locomotives in active service along the line. The weather forecast was quite good and turned out to be correct but the shower in mid-morning proved to be very heavy and coincided unfortunately with the most significant train of the day when single chimney 9F 92134 headed south from Loughborough with the rake of mineral wagons.
