I suffered my first camera problem on Saturday 21st May 2022 when near Southwaite for the Carlisle to Crewe leg of the A4 Locomotive Preservation Society Members Special. I had set the Canon for a distant view as the train came round the curve using a telephoto lens. When I tried to take the shot nothing worked so I had to switch quickly to the wide panoramic view I had planned with the Nikon. I this image I have emphasised the brilliant sky that formed a background to LNER A4 Class 4-6-2 4498 SIR NIGEL GRESLEY when it sped south right on time.
