We arrived in very good time at Settle junction where we planned to photograph the A4 Society Members Special which was running to celebrate the completion of 4498’s very heavy general overhaul. The first train to pass was 2-car DMU 158 853 with 2Y58, the 09:41 from Lancaster to Leeds, running 1 minute early.
