On Sunday 27th April 2025 the Vintage Trains “Shakespeare Express” started from Derby. In the middle of the day it made a return trip between Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham Snow Hill before it returned to Derby late in the afternoon. The motive power was principally BR(WR) 4-6-0 7029 CLUN CASTLE with support from Class 37 240 when required. The train ran close to schedule throughout, the weather was good and it would be true to say a good time was had by all.
