I was unsure of my plans for Easter 2024. Good Friday was pretty much a wash-out but the forecast looked good for Saturday from late morning onwards and with no news about 6880 BETTON GRANGE on the Battlefield Line website, I headed towards Loughborough to see the sights. As I was quite late, Rushey Lane seemed like a good location and I braved the route from the Woodhouse end. That was not a very wise decision as it is even more and deeper pot-holed than the last time that I ventured down. I was in time to start photography with the 11:05 from Loughborough and expected to stay by the bridge until after the diner had gone through then relocate to Woodthorpe after a spot of lunch. Just after the diner had run through, I realised that the smartly turned out cyclist standing next to me was my eldest son, David, who had ridden round to look for me to announce that middle son, Paul, had decided to organise an Easter Egg Hunt at my house that very afternoon. A quick dash home to purchase the necessary goodies for the kids and make sure my wife, Val, was fully prepared for the invasion!
