Motive power for "The Shakespeare Express" on Sunday 27th August 2017 was Castle 5043 EARL OF MOUNT EDGCUMBE again. It's a beautiful engine but rather overpowered for this duty. When will authority get its act together and recognise that 4965 is not out of gauge on an ex- Great Western route? If there is a problem , it's the infrastructure that's wrong; not the locomotive.
