All is far from well with mainline steam!
The previous day should have seen a pair of trains in the London area hauled by Jubilee 45699 GALATEA only for notification of cancellation to be given at the last possible moment.
This train suffered a change of route with very little warning. "The Salopian Express" was a Dumfries to Shrewsbury excursion, steam hauled by 45690 LEANDER both ways between Crewe and Shrewsbury only.
