The weekend of 8th and 9th January 2022 on the Great Central Railway promised to be very special for railway enthusiasts as 60163 TORNADO was working passenger trains in the almost normal winter timetable and at normal fares. The weather forecast for Saturday 8th January was very poor throughout daylight hours and I was undecided about visiting the railway. In the end I thought I might as well take the risk and although at times the rain was very heavy I realized as I travelled home that it was actually just about fine every time I pressed the shutter. Overall I enjoyed the day and came away with a few pictures that I wanted for my collection. You can't always do that!
